Best Japanese Import Figures of December 2012

If any of you have ever seen my personal room, then you know how much I love collecting figures, statues and toys. It is one of my biggest and most expensive hobbies. Ever since I got married back in 2006, I have had to cut back on exactly how much I spend a year on these such things, and it kills me because the figures I used to by based on manga and anime series from Japan really make quite an impression on me. The level of detail and the craftsmanship that goes into each figure is astounding. Well, just because I can’t buy ten figures a month anymore like I used to doesn’t mean that I still don’t keep my eye out for what’s new coming out of the east. Every month, there are several beautiful pieces being unveiled for pre-order for fans of such collectibles. So I have decided to start a new, monthly blog here on Pop Cults about the ten best figures announced for certain months. This time, I will focus on the figures announced in December 2012 and tell you a little bit about each figure. Be advised, while there are several quality sites out there that have these figures available for pre-order, I trust using JList the most. I have never had a bad experience using them and they provide the most complete information for each figure being sold.

This one would look perfect on my wall or next to my PS3 on the stand I have it on. The black colors of her outfit really stand out and the craft of her armaments is really beautiful.[/one_half_last]

Richard Cardenas

Created in a lab in Tijuana, Mexico, or cloned in a test tube in Torrance, CA, depending on which story you think is a better origin story, Richard is, if such a thing exist, a second generation nerd. The son of a man who loved sci-fi, comic books and horror, and a woman who loved making costumes, reading sci-fi novels and watching cartoons, Richard was exposed to all this and more since a very young age.
